Stone, glass, zinc: the classically Parisian materials are here used to different effect
Building an elementary school and restructuring a kindergarden, near the Arc de Triomphe. Environmentally conscious development.
A homogenous treatment of the facades was chosen in order to make the building blend in effortlessly with the neighboring buildings. This suggestion of coherence is reverberated within the building: the variety of programs, although spread throughout five stories, have commonalities. The overall image is clear, legible, identifiable. Reprising the near totality of the founding design principles of adjacent parcels ensured a harmonious intergration with the environment in this upper class district of Paris.
